The Petaluma Arts Center (PAC) is a vibrant community hub in Petaluma, California, dedicated to promoting awareness, appreciation, and expression of the cultural arts. PAC offers a diverse array of exhibitions, educational programs, and events that engage and inspire the local community.
PAC sought to develop a website that effectively showcases its multifaceted offerings, including exhibitions, events, and educational programs. The goal was to create an online platform that reflects PAC's mission, enhances user engagement, and serves as a comprehensive resource for visitors, artists, and community members.

As web designers, we collaborated closely with PAC to understand their mission, audience, and the unique character of their programs. Our approach included:
Discovery Phase: Conducted stakeholder interviews and audience analysis to gather insights into PAC's objectives and user needs.
Content Strategy: Developed a content plan that organizes information intuitively, highlighting key areas such as current exhibitions, upcoming events, educational opportunities, and membership details.
Design and Development: Created a responsive website with a clean, modern aesthetic that aligns with PAC's brand identity. Incorporated high-quality images and multimedia elements to showcase artworks and events dynamically.
User Experience (UX) Optimization: Ensured easy navigation and accessibility, allowing users to find information effortlessly and engage with PAC's offerings.
Integration of Functionalities: Implemented features such as event calendars, online registration forms, and membership sign-ups to facilitate user interaction and streamline administrative processes.

In addition to delivering the website, we trained the PAC team on how to manage and update their new site independently. This included hands-on training sessions and the creation of a comprehensive training document that serves as an ongoing reference. These resources ensure that PAC can maintain and grow their online presence efficiently, empowering their team to keep the site current and relevant for their audience.
